The Florida Police and Troopers Association is a program of the International Union of Police Associations.  The Florida Police Troopers Association, through this special program and sponsorship, will help support:

• Promote training and education for law enforcement
• Advocacy in Congress
• Scholarships for children of members
• Support for the memorial of officers who are tragically killed
• Public awareness campaign funding

The Florida Police and Troopers Association strives to serve and help the citizens of Florida. The International Union of Police Associations (I.U.P.A.) is a non-profit police union. In 1979, the I.U.P.A. was formed to represent the active and retired law enforcement officers and to improve and remember the lives of officers and their families in law enforcement. The organization also works to improve legislation to protect the public safety of officers and represents the needs of law enforcement officers.     

The Florida Police and Troopers Association also raises funds for safety equipment for volunteers as well as training. One of the biggest things that the program does is to raise funds for relief for any family members of officers who are tragically killed in the line of duty.
