Randall L. Spivey, Jr. was the President and founder of the Spivey Law Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.A. which he established in 2008. Mr. Spivey was admitted to the Florida Bar Association in 1995, and for over 30 years litigated all types of cases involving catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death in Florida.
Education
Mr. Spivey earned a bachelor’s degree with high honors from the University of South Florida. Mr. Spivey received his Juris Doctor of Law degree from Loyola University College of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the school's two most prestigious organizations, Law Review and Moot Court. Mr. Spivey also held a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University.
Florida Bar Board Certification in Civil Trial Law
Randall L. Spivey, Jr., was a Florida Bar Association Board-Certified Civil Trial Attorney from June 1, 2001 – May 31, 2026. Only 1% of the lawyers in Florida are Board Certified in Civil Trial Law. Randall L. Spivey was a member of the Florida Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Florida Justice Association
Mr. Spivey was an active member of the Florida Justice Association and an Eagle Supporter of the organization for decades committed to preserving the rights of victims and their families in personal injury and wrongful death cases. As a 30-year member of the Florida Justice Association, the FJA Awards Committee voted to honor Mr. Spivey with a Warrior of Justice Award at their Annual Convention in 2026. The FJA in the presentation honored him and conveyed that Randall Spivey was more than a respected member of FJA, he was a devoted friend, colleague, mentor, and advocate. He lived his life with integrity, generosity, and compassion for others. His impact extended far beyond the courtroom into the lives of everyone, fortunate enough to meet him and get to know him. While no words can fully capture the loss of those who knew and loved him, the FJA hoped that the award served as a reflection of the respect, admiration, and gratitude that the Florida Justice Association held for Randall Spivey.

Randall L. Spivey practiced law exclusively in personal injury and wrongful death his entire career, and he obtained numerous record verdicts and settlements in the areas of accidental injury, personal injury, wrongful death, automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, drunk driving accidents, and defective products. Mr. Spivey devoted his entire career to representing people in personal injury and wrongful death cases throughout Florida. He represented people in jury trials in numerous counties in Florida.
Mr. Spivey was licensed to practice in State and Federal courts. He was a member of the Florida Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Spivey was also a past president of the Lee County Personal Injury Association and a member of the Southwest Florida Trial Lawyers Association.
Devoted Husband and Father
Randall Spivey was not only an exceptional and truly preeminent lawyer, but also the most devoted husband and father. He was more than a husband; he was a best friend and partner in life for over 30 years. He was an amazing, kind, fun, loving, charismatic, trusted, and exceptional husband and father.
He was the best father to his children, and his love, pride, and joy for his children were evident in everything he did. Whether he was cheering the loudest for his son at sporting events or for his daughter at recitals, coaching his son in sports or instilling his talents in his daughter, his love was boundless. He loved his children completely and taught them the importance of kindness, generosity, and compassion.
Randall L. Spivey will always be known and forever remembered as a man of superior character, unwavering in his ethics, his love of family and friends, immense love and pride for his wife, children, and family.
Community Service
Randall L. Spivey was deeply committed to giving back to the Southwest Florida community. He proudly supported local schools, youth programs, and animal rescue organizations. He also volunteered as a youth soccer coach and supported local sports programs with both his time and financial contributions. After Hurricane Ian devastated the area, Mr. Spivey focused on helping those in need of food by setting up a table at the Gladiolus Food Pantry and making sandwiches using supplies from his home and, later, from the store when it reopened. Over holidays, he would help his family to hand out homemade bags with food and supplies for the homeless. He also financially supported numerous charities. Mr. Spivey was also a proud alumni and Iron Bull supporter of the University of South Florida. Randall Spivey was always generous and ready to help neighbors and friends whenever needed. He loved the Southwest Florida community and gave back in every way he could to support those in need.
Commitment to Helping Victims
For more than 30 years, Randall L. Spivey dedicated his career to fighting for accident victims and their families. Not only was Randy Board-Certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer, but he was also recognized with Preeminent Attorney AV Rating, Florida Super Lawyers, Client Distinction Awards, National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Florida, Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum life membership, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Legacy
Randall L. Spivey, Jr., dedicated his life to helping those who were injured or who lost a loved one and always said he would only be a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney because it truly brought him joy in helping others. That is why it is so important that we continue his legacy with our law firm.
